Kieppari mop yarn, also known as Moppari’s big brother, is a chunky macramé yarn made from 100% recycled materials. It is a double-twisted yarn with a slightly looser twist and a slightly softer feel than Moppari.
Kieppari is made from 100% recycled materials. The raw material is recycled cotton sourced from textile industry cutting waste. The yarn itself is not dyed; instead, its colour is created by blending fibres of different colours together. Around 20% polyester is added to the cotton to make the yarn more durable in use. The recycled polyester used in Kieppari is made from recycled PET plastic bottles.
Kieppari mop yarn is sold in 1 kg cones, and depending on the shade and raw material composition, each cone contains approximately 150 metres of yarn, making it a highly generous choice for larger projects. Kieppari is an excellent yarn for macramé, crochet and weaving. If desired, the twist can be opened up to create beautiful tassels. Kieppari mop yarn is approximately 5 mm thick.
For Kieppari, we recommend a delicate wash at 30°C in plenty of water with a mild detergent solution. Rinse thoroughly and dry flat on a well-ventilated surface. We do not recommend tumble drying for this product.
