Maksi mop yarn is a single-twisted yarn made from recycled fibre. It contains 80% recycled cotton and 20% polyester. The raw material used for Maksi mop yarn is recycled cotton sourced from textile industry cutting waste. The yarn itself is not dyed; instead, its colour is created by blending fibres in different shades together. Around 20% polyester is added to the recycled cotton to make the fibre more durable in use.
Maksi mop yarn is wound into 1 kg cones, with each cone containing approximately 400 metres of yarn, making it a highly generous option for larger projects. Maksi mop yarn is used for macramé, crochet and rug weaving, among many other crafts. It is available in a 24-ply construction and in classic shades. An eco-friendly recycled yarn for all kinds of handicraft projects. Maksi mop yarn is approximately 3 mm thick.
Recommended crochet hook size: 7–8 mm
